knock sensor error code...

got two error codes over the weekend...

210 / P0330 knock sensor
211 / P0325 knock sensor

prelude to this was car cutting out briefly on a prticularly hot day & iddling crappy - for a bit, before it calmed down by itself.

pulled the plugs, & they were orange / brown in color - LEAN.

can anyone tell me if these codes a reaction to an actual ping sensed (timing retarded by the ecu / mixture leaned out) OR a faulty set of knock sensors (causing the same)?

not sure what is going on... HELP.

p.s. - unplugged the battery over night - reset the program - car runs fine for now.

If that code returns, the knock sensors are bad.

I already have them on order - just in case... BUT, isn't it a bit strange that they went so soon.. only 7,000 miles on them?
