    E36 3.38 4 clutch LSD diff excellent

    Great shape e36m3 3.38 LSD.
This has been reconfigured from stock 25% locking 2 clutch to 4 clutch 60% locking per oem design- it's lock up is much more aggressive than stock- ideal for Motorsports and highpower m car use.

Stock 2 clutch setup is weaksauce, same design as a 325 e30!

Complete diff with 85k miles, great seals and bearings- not a noise or leak at all. Locals to sf bay are welcome to check it out in person-

$700 cash picked up sf bay
$85 shipping contiusa, you are also welcome to provide your own FedEx/ups account for discount shipping

I have both 6 and 4 bolt flanges (4 is oem, 6 I have on shelf)

Rear plate- you will need to supply your own speedo sensor- it's bolted on with a 10mm

I wrote instructions on how to do this in the e36m forum
    - if you look for rebuild diy lsd, you will find it

you basically need: a LSD, a gear ratio you like, a bunch of clutches and various other internal diff parts, the proper shims to make the gears fit properly in the case, a dial indicator to check backlash, a drag indicator to check preload.

not hard, about the oldest muscle car modification since the beginning of hot rodding.

the locking % changes from 25% to 60% when you remove 2 blank plates and exchange with 2 extra clutch plate for a total of 4 clutches. This is OEM bmw design, used in motorsports often. People use 3 clutch diffs for more street use, 4 is more aggressive for heavy duty track use, 5 is uuber aggressive and not fitted often.

I do not have a need for 3.91 - If you were local perhaps, but shipping a diff to norcal is not needed- I have about 5-6 complete LSD casings and many gear sets (3.23, 3.38, 3.64, 4.10) here waiting for various operations- I build diff's for fun

PM me if you are serious about buying it- I do have local interest as well. This diff is proven in great shape.
