    Nice Work

Man that really looks good and clean. I like the way you put that together.
Only thing that would bother me is the speaker near the feet.
Im a big guy and need that room.

But man you did I nice job.

Im in brooklyn and in the future Im might be redoing my system I will give you a call. Do you have a similar set up in your 7?

I have JL Amps and (2) JL 10W7's ported thru rear deck, and O2 6-1/2" Components with (2) tweeters in front doors.

I'm not against using or having pods made near my feet, I just wonder how well it's going to work w/ having a clutch pedal in my way as well.

I would not recommend making kick panels and put them in the doors. If you have a clutch your not going to have room for a kick panel.

Fair enough...I'm just still having issues finding a way to use a 3 piece component setup, find a similar sized mid like the stock unit, maybe use a coax bass and mid (if they even exist) then use a new tweeter in the stock location, or maybe use a coax bass and tweeter then somehow make a mid work in the stock location. Since I can't do kicks, at least on the drivers side,, what do you suggest otherwise?

I'd love to be able to mount small subs somewhere in the cabin, somewhere that isnt on the rear parcel shelf or in the footwells. Something like in the floor under the front seats like in the E65 would be sweet.

It'd be nice, but a small enclosure like that isn't going to make a lot of audible bass, but more for vibrating your butt cheeks and making you have to piss more on roadtrips

    Impressive work!
What upgrades to the electrical system have been done? Im planning on upgrading my sound system soon and I will be adding a 1000w amp to power the subs and I was wondering if you are using an upgraded battery or a secondary battery? I plan on doing the Big 3 upgrade but still undecided on upgrading the battery

    Okay to answer questions.

I do not have a setup in my 7 because...I do not own a bmw I own a civic.

With the pods at your feet there would be no room for the clutch pedal. That is why they are being relocated to the doors "pics to come" this way he can have all his foot room back even though it is not a manual.

Dynamat is like a tar will stick to ANYTHING you apply it to basically and will not come off without a big fight. Not made to really come off, it helps absorb audio vibrations and damped them from echoing threw ought the door or wherever.

No electronic upgrades where done only thing was the ground wire was upgraded to 0 gauge, a second battery might be useful in the future but as of now the stock is holding up just fine.

Sorry to beat a deadhorse here, but you keep answerin the wrong question...I'm still trying to find options/opinions from you in regards to speakers in the stock locations...front doors are my biggest issue w/o loosing anything soundwise.

Good job, for that kind of money should have just went with JL audio. Could have left out the speakers on the floor and just replaced the components in the factory locations + dynmate with a sub. Other than that good work.

JL is good but would've been a downgrade looking at what was used...

    Wow.

I might hit you up for some work over the summer. I'd like a similar setup to the one in the OP, except no pods and I'll use my own headunit (it would be for a CarPC setup).

You might know a thing or two in the car audio industry, but it's obvious that you don't know all! That's ok, I forgive you! You see, Mmats is the pioneer of Class D topology (D100HC)! How long have you been installing subs/audio systems? Ever heard of Juggernaut's or Dreadnaut's? Guess what.... that's made by Mmats baby! Mmats has been in the industry for more than 15 yrs.. These are "HIGH Quality" professional car audio product's made in the U.S.A (FLA)! And no, you can't just go down to your local Best Buy and purchase the brand. Only a select few authorized dealers nationwide carry them. Do a lil more homework next time before you come insulting the brand BTW, you poses great craftsmanship, keep it up!

It looks loud, but that box is huge and not very pretty. You should have made it higher and have less depth. I stopped putting brand name stereo stickers on my car in high school when I learned that advertising also meant that it gets broken into a whole lot more. Just my .02

Bump for you still giving me advice on what speakers I could use that I'd still get nice sound from using the stock locations. As I said, the biggest issue I've had is finding a 2"ish midrange, otherwise I don't know what else to do in order to get all 3 speaker ranges covered...tweet, mid and bass in each door.
