Are you going to paint the lip black or red? I like the stock valance when it is body colored, but not much when it's black. I painted mine on my '83. My favorite is the Zender air dam, pretty much like the BBS but more aggressive.Originally Posted by Al Canuck
Matt, the car looks hot. Nice custom bumper brackets too.Originally Posted by MattE21

Matt, nice!!
Time to change out the exhaust though
Bah... I've put 8,000 miles on mine in 2 years and have only 2 tiny nics. The key is to not drive over stuff and not tail gate semi's.Originally Posted by jays323i

I absolutley love the BBS spoiler, it makes the car very aggresive.
I got a lot of complements from it when my car ran back in the day.
It was on my 323i when it came from the factory.
I replaced it with a brand new one.
I also started to like the zender side skirts.
Overall I am pleased. Expect full set of pictures when the car is completed. Its all painted finally Horray!
Meanwhile here it is just before the skirts and mirrors where painted.
CJ. I also hit stuff with my spoiler. I scraped driveways. When my 323i was shipped it hit the ramps with the spoiler and scrapped. Also I hit speedbumps, due to the fact it was lowered. So I found a brand new one. With the suspension so low, and any stuff like tires, debri or mufflers I have to be supercareful, and there is stuff laying on the highway from time to time...Originally Posted by blitzed310

Josh,..I was going to suprise everyone and just post the finished product.
The glass is still out, but the mirrors came out excellent.
Thanks to all, CJ, JBOB and everyone who told me to color match.
Now that they are painted I totally agree.
I was waiting for the grill and clear turnsignals and mirrors to be mounted before giving more pics. But I can take a few of the skirts on the car, they look great.
I am going to BAV auto on monday to get a few things and can snap a few pictures.
later,
J

Think they sag at centre bcos sides pushed forwards - due to poor storage/mounting. I think, if mounted properly and if there is a sharp enough V at the front, the problem would not be so obvious.Originally Posted by blitzed310
Not really my cup of tea - like the chrome on mine.

Nice... is is new? If so is Siemens the OEM manufacturer or is it a reproduction? Too bad it will crack at all the mounting points and cable attachments, unless they've redesigned it. I went through mine and reinforced everything with jb weld to try to keep it from happening.Originally Posted by ichiwan2
I like this one. I like your front air dam, very different from any i've seen anywhere else.Originally Posted by ichiwan2
thought id post this. my buddy gave me this after his MkIV jetta got into a wreck. its not a reproduction and it still has the registration tags on it. to my dismay they were screwed up durring the crash...
Item is new. Siemens repair kit is listed on realoem.com. But not sure if this means Siemens is an OEM manufacturer.Originally Posted by jrcook320

Random pics of my ongoing resto- bought the car last summer and am done with the interior (mostly) and body; now rebuilding the engine (just new rings+hone job, hopefully).
No rust in engine bay! just a little filthy. She should shine up very well!

Here's the latest pic of my project. Waiting on a few parts from W&N still
