I was working on a clients honda S2000. Where the driveshaft isn't "serviceable". But it has CV joints at either end and takes minutes to remove them. Dealer or parts houses don't sell anything but reman shafts at $1650.
So I spec'd out CV's for it and came across Driveshaft world in FL. Bought a set for the honda, then naturally I thought I'd check for the 320i.

I plan to order some just to double check but they spec out and should work.

"If it flys, floats, or f*cks, rent it!"
Dang, so cool. I was worried that I'd hosed up one of mine, but as everyone said, seems fine in the car. However, this would be fantastic news in any case if it works out.
I'm going to post up my ghetto fix on the 38 if it works - the tang that holds the choke lever came off, and you can't get the part anywhere... see if we can't keep these things going no matter what challenges are faced.
Count me in on a set. Future me will thank me later with an "I told you this was a good idea." Or not, meh.
Wow nice! Are these for early or late e21s?
When I needed one for my '78 I got it from Ireland at $125 per.

Great find Autox320. Nice kit, at a good price to boot! Finally a reasonable replacement for worn slop and slack CV joints.
