those are the same shock/strut combo i'm running now with vogtland springs though...http://www.ebay.com/itm/120831708579?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p398 4.m1423.l2649
don't know how they will feel with the stock springs but overall they are perfect for DD at a great price!
Well Ive had my struts with tein springs for over a month now and seem to be holding up fine for the most part. Feels nice and smooth. I dont track my car or drift just normal cruising speeds for DD. The only problem I ran in to was a tiny fitment issue but nothing that cant be fixed with a drill

was looking into these also but i think i'm going to go with rokkors
finally came in the mail. will be a couple weeks before I can install...looking forward to a more "normal" ride on my 318i
Hey guys i was just looking at these. How are they going for all of you guys?
I was thinking of doing a suspension overhaul and replace bushings and stuff and these seem like the right price... for a mild sport feel. Would that be a good description? Mild sport.

I put a set of those on my 95 325is with stock suspension. Fitment was good but I had to spread the tabs for the horzontal bolt on the strut so it would slide onto the spindle. After 10k miles they held up great with no issues then I sold the car. The ride was definatly stiff/harsh. I now have a 97 vert with Bilstein Tourings on it and the ride is amazing. I bought the Staggs because I had a Zero Dollar budget. I assume they wont last more than 40k miles just because of the price but I have no way of knowing for sure.
If someone absolutely had to swap out their shocks and struts and had absolutely no money to deal with I would probably say to buy them. But my honest opinion is to save your money and get a better quality set like Bilsteins or Koni. The only reason I bought then the first time was because all 4 shocks and struts were complete toast and it was dangerous to drive. I don't consider them a viable option if you can even come close to affording a better set from someone else.

So far so good. Ive had them sitting on the Tein springs for a few months now and still no problems.
I'm thinking of picking up a set of these as well from eBay. Just wondering how those of you who bought these last year (or longer) are doing with them now. Anyone care to speak on their experience?

Okay, I am sad this is one of the few posts I do on here. I needed some shocks to carry me over until I start tracking my car and put Bilsteins on it. (Right now I don't want to pay for them, just moved) I can say the Stagg shocks WILL carry me over to the bilsteins. They will not do much more than that as they are ABSOLUTE CRAP.
The top mount was welded about 2 mm too low and the bolts didn't line up. So I had to drill one side in a parking lot to make them fit. This was extraordinarily annoying. While they DO ride pretty well while giving it quite a bit more stiffness than my OEM shocks (230k miles, don't ask) the shoddiness of the design can only reflect I presume in quality. So for the time being they work great, but I wouldn't dare set tires on a track with them since there isn't very much metal left in the mount after drilling.
But you get what you paid for and since I paid only $200 for them I think I made out pretty well for some fun throw away shocks and struts.
Overall I would say DO NOT BUY.
As a matter of fact I did. One guy said they blew within 5 months. The others said they had recently installed them and liked them but rated them after having them for a short period of time. And all of those post are from 2010 or 2011. I'd like to know how they fair on the long term which is why I'm asking them how they are now after having had that setup for a longer period of time. No need to hate.

Hey guys, I bought this set of shocks/struts for my 325. They are for the sport suspension & I changed my springs with new OEM sport springs, in addition I changed my shock, strut mounts, front & rear sway links, control arms, FCAB's & tie rods.
I've put about 500 miles since I had them out in. We had no fitment issues. The car rides so much better, & is much stiffer, handles better. The ride on the highway at 89-90 mph is very solid.
Hope this helps.

STAGG/VOGTLAND UPDATE - ok so 2 years and 52K miles later i can tell you ALL that my set-up is STILL going strong!...no fitment issues at ALL from the start everything bolted on like OEM and overall i am VERY satisfied with them! i do a mix of freeway and city driving and have driven to and from nor cal to so cal/san diego several times and the ride and handling has ALWAYS been great! ....if your looking for a BARGAIN suspension set-up for a DD,i would DEFINATLEY recommend these!....
I fitted a set of these about 1000km ago, so much better than the blown stock ones. Durability, well we will see, the external quality is fine, neat welds and good paint. I think they were great value, after all, shock technology has been around for a long time, how hard can it be to make a reliable shock? 2cents.....
BTW the car is just a driver, if I want to go fast I ride one of my bikes!
