You can try bmwtis.com. It's $20 for a 24 hour period or $300 for a month. I tried it for a 24 hour period and thought it was well worth it.

Kick ASS!!! Thanks for the links. The http://www.bmwtis.com is going to come in really handy for a lot of shade-tree mechanics and small shops.

Basically, the most up to date of everything!

It has the latest TIS, ETK and ETM information. As some of you have heard, the TIS and ETK are no longer produced on CD anymore. I have never seen digital ETMs of any BMW later than the E36 series. From what I understand, this site is the only way to get up to date information now.

Also it has .pdf's of the training materiels given to technicians. Good reading.

And last but not least.... it offers the possibilty of diagnosing/coding/setting up your car electronically through the website. You need to get a "pass-through" tool (which isn't available yet) that hooks up to your laptop and OBDII connector. The "flow" is:

DIS online server - Internet - Your Compute - Pass Thru Tool - OBDII port on your car.

When this pass through tool becomes available, you'll be able to do a lot more at home.

The site is a little hard to navigate and figure out, but the information available is well worth it.

How can I log on without a dealer code?

I tried to register but I could not without a name and dealer code that was valid.

You subscribe to ''tis you fill out the form on line pay with credit card your in. For all the stuff they have on line which can be hard to find, it is amazing what they don't have on live, I just checked out the newtis side and it has all the basic things of real 'tis. I don't think it it has test plans and programming but it has a lot. It's probably some boot legged thing
