Has anyone figured out how to fix the DSC modules?

This is my 5th one now...fml

Would like to fix it before sending it off for repair or trying to fix it myself.

    Thanks

I was unaware it was a common failure...

2001 330Cic/A in the same color combo is "Her" ride.

eactuning.com says they have yet to see a failure with the new modules they've sold recently.

Bought one from them 2 years ago, still working great.
Raza's got a lil more heat in his engine bay I'd imagine tho. Lol

    Here's one thing to try

    http://www.m5board.com/vbulletin/e39...terminals.html

    Or these internal connections

Even module master can only fix 25% of the used modules

Yep it's a common failure. Just FYI some rebuilders won't touch it, if the module has been messed with.

razahyde you might wanna consider building a heatshield for the DSC module since you'll be heating it up nicely with that engine

    You mean re-soldering these points?:

BTW, if you're putting too much heat into your engine bay with all those mods and superchargers and whatnot, you might want to try retrofitting the 1997 ABS module in which all the electronics are in the cabin, under the glovebox.

Some of them maybe just require software clean up and calibration

Try to calibrate steering angle sensor first ...

There's about a 20+ page thread on bimmerfest with several guys trying to get it figured out.

Problem is.. .the hair thin wires that are attached to small gold pads by some special process. It's basically impossible to solder them back on if that's the issue.
