The pick up point is not causing your problem. The reservoir can be dry and the clutch will still work, there is plenty of fluid in the line.

Interesting, how did you install yours?
Pretty much like Thaniel. I used the stock reservoir to feed the stock MC, from there I used the stock hard line as far as I could then an adapter to the LS1 slave. I also used a remote bleeder since there is no way to bleed the slave in an e36 once the transmission is in the car.

That was actually pointed at John, and your post slid in.
That's the way to do it.

You're probably right Rao. A theories a theory. Also, agreed on the remote bleeder setup! It is a must-have.

Now, if you have a leak or you do not pay attention it is very easy to get it below and suck air.

Paul,
Its not yet installed. Just picked up the parts today. The Tilton piece is fairly cheap.. $69.95. We'll see how much fab. work it take to install... I'm hoping not much..

I'm hoping to do the same, but with the wilwood 7/8 MC. I already have a custom line built from banjo fitting at MC to AN down at the GM slave that was in my previous swap vehicle. Hoping it's a fairly easy swap
is it needed to make any adjustment with new ls7 clutch and flywheel on t56 with ls3 engine???
any diy with step-by-step around clutch with part numbers?

Its a custom set up... no step by step instructions...
is it needed to make any adjustment with new ls7 clutch and flywheel on t56 with ls3 engine??? slave is for t56 from vorshlag or I can make my own.

Foler, I'm confused. Are you asking if the Tilton 7/8s master cylinder is needed? No. Really for track only cars. The standard M3 MC is fine for the LS7 clutch and GM slave.

maynor, yes, I am confused because many people have problem with shifting and this is unacceptable. I want to shift my car just like in m3, smooth, fast and allways reliable, with any rpm.

Plenty of folks on here are running the stock M3 setup without an issue. Focus elsewhere and get your conversion done. You should be fine.

This clutch line is nightmare. Why is needed 100000 adapters? Vorshlag tob with slave with remote bleeder is really expensive. Is it here any diy alternative without 1000 adapters but with remote bleeder? I look this but cant find midle pipe: http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a2...an/adapter.jpg
what to buy?

Just add a fitting to the stock setup. My car shifts very good with stock m3 MC and stock gm slave.
It's not a nightmare, NO adaptors are needed, YES a very simple DIY using a lathe makes it a plug and play using the GM clutch line and stock BMW master cyl, mine is one example that functions flawlessly with over 3100 miles now, Kaane now also has the same setup. Covered in post #28 on page 2 of this thread.
Hope that helps,
Paul

ok, so we have here 2-3 setups. Do you can write part numbers and can you specify the order of parts connection?
When I collect my entire swap parts excel table with part numbers and links to parts I will post it here.

Below you will find a list with item numbers in bold of what I used for my set up for LS1.
Remote Clutch Bleeder Cupper Washer - Pegasus 3241-3/8
Remote Clutch Bleeder Female 10x1.0mm Metric Concave Seat to 4AN, Steel - Pegasus 3265-19
Remote Clutch Bleeder Hose 36" 4AN Teflon Brake Line w/Straight/Straight Swivel Fitting Ends - HRPWorld BL-6104-36
Remote Clutch Bleeder 4AN Hose Fitting Dash size 10mm X 1.5 Brake Thread size - HRPWorld FCM2967
Clutch Line Hose End Straight 4AN Hose End for size 4 PTFE Brake/Clutch Hose - Pegasus 3261-4-00
Clutch Line Adapter Female 10 X 1.0mm Metric Concave Seat to 4AN, Steel - Pegasus 3265-19
Below is what we did for M3/LS2 from GTO, very similar, but some part numbers were different for some of the items and I don't have them handy.

great, I will update my excel table.
Do I need any tob shimming or adjustment with new ls7 clutch connected to ls3 engine?
