I would really like a copy of that chip and drawings of those brackets!

What if like 10 people got together and bought this kit, copied the chip, took pictures and made drawing, and then sold it again for a little less, say 250 less. That would be $25 /person for everything you need to build your own system!!

If you get a group together? You all can do wahtever you want with the kit; however, if the litigeous USA has rubbed off on ESS at all? This has lawsuit written all over it! I bought this kit through a certified ESS distributor here in the USA (CES Motorsport) and don't want to get involved in copying/steeling someone elses hard work. Like I said though whoever buys this kit can do whatever they want with it.... Just don't ask me to get involved. Thank you for your interest, Christopher

Lawsuit? First of all: making drawings of the brackets isn't illegal in any way.

It's not illegal to copy the chip, at least not here (tried in court). And even if it would be illegal you can make a diff (binary ppf) file between the original ROM and the ESS chip.

I'm not saying that I know it's legal or ilegal. The truth is, I don't know? What I do know is that all I want to do is sell my kit. I don't have the time to put together a group to create a kit. It sounds like you are more knowledgeable about the development of a kit than I am (especially the elecronics/chip). If you can get a group together I will sell to whoever has the money!
