    Bilstein PSS/PSS9 Data Collection

    Hello all

If you made it this far you probably have Bilstein's PSS or PSS9 coilover system.

If you do, I have a few number I'd like from you.
    Here goes....

Wheel type, diameter, width, and offset
    Tire type and size
Spacer width (if you have clearance between tire and strut that'd be nice too, no biggie if you don't)
Ride Heights (measured from center of wheel to fender lip)

    That's it

Thanks to all who read this far and another thanks for all of those who's numbers I already have.

Sounds good Matthew. My friend Pete (Teuton) can probably provide you 2 set of numbers-one for his 15" stock rims with 12mm spacers and one for his 17" M Contours with no spacers. We'll try to get them to you by this weekend. We both have PSS9s.
What would Crockett and Tubbs do?

That'd be great. I've talked with Teuton a couple of times.

I'm looking for a coilover setup for my 1994 E36 325i sedan, and I had been thinking about the PSS9.

I have to admit though, hearing that I might need to add spacers to accommodate what have previously been perfect wheel/tire setups is giving me serious pause. I'm already at the limits with a 235 section width and I can't accommodate any outward displacement of the wheels.

Its too bad that its so hard to find good info on the rubbing/spacer problem. Bilstein sure doesn't warn you about it.

Its also too bad this thread died off -- the information would have been helpful.

I will get the height numbers for you later..

my Ti sits on pss9 coilovers with DS1 rims with 235/45/17s.

Rear's are even with the top of the wheel well, fronts have about an inch between the top of the tyre and the wheel well. I do not want to go lower with the state of the roads in NJ (and my driveway)

5mm spacer is the minimum you can run with a c/o setup

is that all coilovers, or just the PSS9?

if all coilovers require 5mm spacers, then I'm out. maybe i'll consider them later when i buy the next set of tires. i'd have to back off on section width to accommodate a spacer, and until then there's no point in destroying $1k in tires.

I have ran the following wheel/tire setups with Bilstein PSS coilovers on my E36 BMW 1997 328i:

    18 x 8.5
ET 43 with 7MM Spacers All Around
225/40/18 front, 255/35/18 rear (tight fit)

    16 x 8
    ET 35 All Around
    225/50/16 Maybe? I can't remember exactly.

I am trying to run the same 18 inch setup now, but without the 7MM spacers in the back. Not sure if it's going to work. I'll definitely have to roll my fenders, but I might have issues rubbing on the inside perch. Only one way to find out.

bump, maybe someone has a good idea what wheel offset is required with PSS.
