    535i Left Wiper Blade replacement?

Is there a way to replace the left blade without spending a rediculous $40 for it? There probably is but I haven't done enough research. Suggestions would be great thanks.

Go to an auto parts store and buy a new one?

All parts stores and websites want around $40 for one. I'm kind of wondering if a regular $15-20 blade would connect to the arm?

Cheapest way is to get the replacement blade insert and keep the wiper.

Although, if you want to get a new set, I think Pelican Parts sells the set for ~$40 (both)... but let me double check that.

EDIT: So pelican sells the left arm (non-OEM part) for $15.75. and I know you can get any wiper from any auto parts store for the right side.

It's the driver's side that is positioned weird. A universal blade will not fit.

Yeah guys, on the 89's the driver's side wiper blade is inverted, OP is looking for a cheap way to make it normal.

why not just swap on a newer arm so you can use a normal blade?

I think it's dealer only. My parts suppliers don't carry them. They do carry the right side though.

heres what you do, go to a junkyard, find an E34 or E32, take out the passenger side wiper arm, take off your drivers side wiper arm, put new junkyard arm on and voila. No more fussing, fit any blade you want. Best way to go imo, don't risk having that little spoiler scratch your windshield like it did mine.

So, what are some solutions? Some people said that they had friends cut and weld it to the other side, but then that is chopped across the wind-screen.

Can't swap one over from the later year cars, either.

I don't have any issues with my 89's arm. I just buy the bosch replacment blades from Autozone and install. I need to work the normal pass side hitting the hood issue.
