    weird noise when starting in reverse

    When I put my car in reverse....I hear a noise seemingly coming from the steering column (or somewhere near there...definitely inside the car). It starts right as I make the car begin to move backwards....it almost sounds like a spring going "boing".

    what thel hell is it? Its SO annoying.
