We have recently made some great numbers with a bunch of stock ECU powered cars. It got me thinking(never a good idea) - Why not put my car back to a stock ECU? It would showcase Nick@ Technique Tuning's software capabilities and show what a well sorted hardware and software package can do in real world environment. While we are at it, why not try and maximize the area under the curve for a more potent powerband?
So I did just that. We pulled the trusty DTA S80 standalone and went back to a factory M3 ecu. I choose an Eboost 2 boost controller for its flexibility, and a racelogic traction control system for launch control, traction control, and flat shifting capability. I also switched to a Precision 71mm turbo from my larger comp 80mm billet turbo. The goal wasn't to make the most peak horsepower - we wanted to shift the area under the curve to the left. I am pretty happy with the results!

Holly shiznit! That is amazing! Pretty incredible what Nick can do with a shop as capable and willing to break into some new territory (ie. This/ Mike's 1000whp OEM ECU TT tuned E36 M3...as well as the best, and 2nd only proven production E46 M3 turbo kit, but the only one still in existence and making headlines!
I Hope Mike and Nick keep working together for as long as it makes sense to do so because you guys are, and could continue to do some great things.
KEEP MAKING THAT MUSIC GENTS!
EDIT: I am unfamiliar with the Supra engines, but were they ever capable of 1000whp with their stock ecu? Just trying to see where we may lie now in comparison...

Truly impressive, but at the same time I'm not surprised, Max PSI + TT = world peace and ending world hunger
^^ and standalone engine managment systems too!
Love it! How much would it be on a dynojet? And, this car is going to MIR this weekend?
Edit: I'm crazy! I just watched the video and assumed it was your place. I see they are dyno jet numbers.

1000 rwhp from an 8000 rpm M/S/50/52 on a factory ECU is incredible. Could you put pump gas in this and daily drive it at a lower boost level?
I think you mean: "What's it like daily driving a pump gas 1000whp car, Mike?"
Mike: "Stupid (fast)"

Crazy. Usually peak torque is where the motor reaches peak boost. You don't reach peak torque till almost 600 rpm after you hit peak boost. Why is this? The motor can't injest all that air yet? And geez. A 71mm turbo and you are hitting full boost at 4500 ish RPM!! IS this on your twin scroll manifold?
