Come to think of it, why did you decide to quit being a moderator?
Guys, all I can say is this: the mods don't make the rules. We try to enforce them. Personally, I don't think being a mod is fun, but it is a way to pay back a place I've gotten a lot of value from and I hope I can help keep it a good/useful community. Anyway...
Please use the classified system we have to sell your parts. That is the direction from above. As a mod, I have to support the direction.
If you see a FS thread, I'd ask that you use the "Report Thread" function. This place seems to work pretty well, so there aren't a lot of mods swarming around every minute monitoring for illicit posts. If you see one, it is there only because one of the mods hasn't seen it yet and deleted/towed it. I'll try not to be a jerk about it, but members who are being repeatedly thick will eventually get some time off to think about it.
Y'all should have that conversation via PM.
"Feeler" threads count as FS ads, too. Just for the record...
We'll park this thread again in the next day or two. I'm unparking it now to make sure that members using the phone app are seeing it since it's very easy to miss the stickies while using it. I understand the points being made by many in this thread, but we (the moderating team) also have to try to make sure the rules are being followed as they're set. As Lee indicated, being a mod isn't always fun and games... especially when it comes time to give someone a warning or a TO. The amount of FS ads posted here seems to be growing lately and I'm just about to start tagging people for it instead of just towing the thread and letting the poster go. I agree with Lee about this section running pretty smoothly without the need for constant mod supervision. That's why your reports on rule violations are so appreciated. We can't be everywhere at once (Lee has other forum assignments and I also moderate Off-Topic, War & Politics, and Armed & Dangerous). All we ask is that the reporting system not be abused. I can't think of anyone here who's actually doing that, but if you happen to start doing it, you'll be sure to know about it.
To give some peace of mind to the moderators and for the friendly forum members, here's the classified section to post your FS threads:

Perhaps making this link as a sticky might help us in the future reference, if possible. Otherwise, the link is provided for the convenience.
Thanks, auaq. I copypasta'd that into Gumbi's opening post so it should be easy to find (hopefully).
No problem.
.
I couldent find the info anywhere, but is a link to the FS page in the signature okay? If not, I will remove immediately.
Thanks.

Yours is fine.
Pffffft.... Thats absurd.. How hard can it be to ad a FS section above the DIY like others have? Clearly you have the capability.
simply adding a tag is a half arse lazy measure that should have ALWAYS been there anyways. No one goes to the BS classifieds anyways. E39 people just wanna see e39 stuff.
each model having its own FS makes every section of the forum better.
Take your complaints to Kevlar. He is the one to make it happen. This is a well worn subject. Good luck.
The link worked for me, here it is again.

Please use it, I'm running out of patience moving for sale posts.
I find it much easier to just delete them, so if you want to sell your junk use the link above.
Thanks in advance.
How can I submit a sales thread to the classifieds sections??? That dumb Panjo add-on isn't allowing me, yet I posted an ad on Panjo.
