Stacking front spring pads

It looks to me that the front upper spring pads of the stock struts can be stacked to get a higher ride height. Has anyone tried this and encountered problems? I think the upper one is a little easier to stack than the bottom one. Comments are welcome. Thank you.

i have same questions with this too but with the rear so if anyone has info on that chime in too

Rears have definitely been stacked, although I think it's easiest by cutting out the center of one of the pads.
