E39 Xenon Ballast + Bulbs on a 99 740iL none Xenon WORKS!

People i just did some custom work , maybe some one who wasnt able or thought it wasnt possible is interrested :

I took out some Xenon ballasts + Xenon Bulbs out of a 2000 BMW E39 528i SE and installed them on my BMW E38 740iL none Xenon but projector head lights.

Nice and clean job check it out and let me know if anyone needs instructions

Been there done that now you have to recode the lcm so it wont give check head lamp bulbs. You also should not cut open the back cover like that moisture will get inside, not counting dust and insects! i love the light output.

Ps i used broken 750 headlights and parted them into mine im using one factory e38 96 ballast and one e39 ballast until i can get another e38.

I've been driving for a say since i replaced the whole thing and no warnings on dash .
Theres no way out you have to cut the cover otherwise you wont be able to connect it.

The dealer should be able to do it. With either gt1 39 or 44 there is a retrofit buttion that takes care of it. Couple min job. Dealers will want at least a hour or i had one tell me i had to recode the whole car and they wanted 350+.
