It's a bumper skin I got on ebay for like 40 bucks IIRC.

I've owned 4 BMWs & 3 MK3 Jettas & I like the Jetta better, lighter, quicker launch & acceleration, handles quite well, cheaper on gas, cheaper parts, leather interior holds up muuuuuch longer, sounds better, even tho the E36 coupes are a little nicer on the eye. I do miss independent rear suspension.

The red e36 vert was sick though it prob not the safest daily driver in new york city. You are right, the e36 does have more stylish appeal, but given that it was a 318is, they arent very fun to drive. You've done a great job modding!

I wish you did. I sold it to some kid after he hit the "Buy it Now" & after driving to Allentown, PA to meet him half way in the freezing cold he finally showed up & tried to lowball me. Then he didn't have all of the money . I almost caught a case that night.

I never got it repainted. It looks different because of all the Avus M3 parts. The first pic is actually how I ended up selling it after parting out all the goodies.

I wasn't saying the supercharger was crazy, i was telling him to look at the fabrication on the Short Runner Intake Mani as well as the front bumper beam welding and FMIC. I know what crazy dubs look like, and this car is a perfect example of a 300+whp daily driven car.

I can agree a little because you have more range to be creative. I've seen some crazy nice but simple cars in the VW world...hell remember my beater Golf? It just died after 12 years.
People used to stop me all the time asking if I was selling it or where they could get one.

But the Vortex has its share of drama too.
