Does anyone else have trouble "subscribing" to threads?

It seems that when I post or start a thread, the board only intermittently subscribes me so I don't always get email updates when there are new posts. It's random, and all my settings are correct. Any ideas?

I posted about this problem what seems like over a year ago....Was told my profile settings were screwed up. They aren't and it still doesn't work right.

It only auto subscribes you when you actually click "post reply" and do it that way. If you use the quick box it doesn't auto subscribe.

that's annoying, but i understand. any reason that it can't be changed?

Not true. Mine won't automatically subscribe me, even when I click"post reply". Never has, and I've given up hope.

This question pops up very often, and no one has ever fixed it. Perhaps this is the time?

Let me get this straight... You are swapping out parts designed by hundreds of engineers that get paid thousands of dollars for something you bought at Pep Boys because your buddy who doesn't have a job told you it was 'better'?!?

can I "subscribe" to a thread but NOT get emails??

reason being, I can click on "Profile" and see if there are any replies or not.

Nope... when the system is working correctly, the software automatically sends the email for new posts. There is no option that I'm aware of to "intentionally" disable the email notification but still remain "subscribed" to the thread.

I honestly have no clue what the problem could be... I can see the mail cue and all the mail is going out. If I send email from the board directly to their email account, they get it.

Maybe check your email in your profile to make sure it's correct? :
