Shipping M3 Diff - Weight? What method? Cost?

    Hey Guys,

Just curious if those of you who have shipped diffs before could help me out.

What is the weight of the diff w/out fluid?

Who did you ship thru? How much?

I'm basically trying to get this thing shipped via Fedex or UPS but want to know how much it weighs first to see if they will even take it.

    Thanks.

    Spencer

cost about $75 to ship if you go directly with ups. weighs 89lbs without fluids.

Get a rubbermaid box and throw in a bunch of news papers and shit. Kudos to Josh A. on that one. Had my last diff shipped like this.

Edit: BTW: My ups shipping was 125. That was all the way across the country though and did weigh over 100. Big bearing diffs are heavier I guess.

Shipping costs will be from 65.00 - 85.00 I would guess. If you have an old plastic milk crate sitting around, you could open up one side and stick the diff in there. That's how mine was packaged when I got my 3.38

i just used a regular box rated for 65 lbs w/ extra cardboard on the bottom for strength. my diff weighed 63 lbs and cost ~$12 to ship from ga to fl w/ corporate discount through ups. seeing some of the posts above, seems like $70 is the average.
