Cliffs: You read right, as soon as he got traction he walked me hard on both runs. I'd say 4 cars at least on the first one, buses on the second.
Anti-cliffs:
You Houston boys need to meet my buddy "Mario". Mexico ain't too far and that's where he lives. I decided to cruise over to his casa tonight thinking that maybe this cold front might put a little damper on the "ls1etr"'s style, but it didn't. Mario is one of these guys who will admit first hand, "It might not be pretty, but my shit will run son." And I don't argue. His pride and joy is a 1997 E36 M3. He's had it a few years and I believe this is the third turbo setup he's had on it. Needless to say his boost gauge stops at 20psi so I have no idea what he's actually running. What I do know is that the motor is built, ported, and cammed. The car has 550+rwhp and weighs 3300lbs with him in it.
My car on the other hand is a
sturdy 3900 or so with me in it, heads, cam, 3.91s, misc bolt ons, and I should be putting around 450 to the wheels or better. Mario knows all this because he did almost all of the work on it. If you're local I can hook you up as he does great work for great prices.
The first vid is a 40 roll, he tries to get me to go from the 50 that I previously negotiated out. As expected I pulled for a few seconds until his tires caught and then it was bye bye GTO.
The second vid is from a dig with me getting the hit. I was spinning every time I mashed the pedal and was worried about hitting him. Apparently he wasn't as worried as I was because after he spun through 2nd he ate my smurfing lunch in 3rd.
All in all, I knew it was going to happen. Everyone raise your shots to the death of the GTOHNO. I'll get 'em next time.
