Drove up the coast. Carmel/17 Mile Drive was beautiful.
Gotta love Northern California for its scenery, landscapes, and great weather year-round.
My favorites were the last pic and the 3rd from last. Thanks for sharing mayn. Did you drive your M Coupe all the way from Maryland or did you have it transported?

heh...bought it from Socal, drove it to MD to register, then back to Socal lol
agreed. Also love the wheels.
beautiful pics as always!
you still have that canvas shot for sale?
-OG
yea, i could order another one if you'd like.
How much were they and how big was the canvas?
-OG
You have got to be kiddin me. Where is this at?
McWay Falls in Julia Pfeiffer Burns State Park. Agreed though that the Pacific Coast around Big Sur is just one jaw-dropping vista after another.
Great pics, afb. You have some amazing photo talent. How long was your shutter time in the pic where the stars are visible at twilight? The image of the lone cypress is trademark protected so be careful where you post that one

Great skills man! I especially love the long-aperture shot with the stars in the sky.

Stunning Pics...
Where in MD are you from? I moved from MD to Nor Cal before Colorado. I thought the last one looked like Pt. Lobos, dove there once - it was awsome!
I'm planning on doing that drive from LA to SFO with stops to hang glide in Santa Barbara and Big Sur next month. Can't wait! It'll be in my truck an not the M Coupe though
thanks! the stars one was at pebble beach w/ a 30 sec exposure. yea, i read about the cypress tree. i believe it is trademarked for commercial purposes, but fine for personal use. there were a billion people taking pics anyway. it was a really nice drive. only wish it was summer so i could enjoy more of it during daylight haha.
i was using the built in one in Pshop CS4. still trying to get the hang of it. although i'm not a fan of overdone HDR. i like to use it to enhance parts of the photo, not make it. only the last 2 shots are HDR. the purple sky on the Julia Pfeifer overlook shot is still overdone for my tastes lol, while the pano coupe pic is subtle, and otherwise doesn't blare out HDR.
from germantown. i'm here in SB for school right now, but thinking about moving to the bay area afterwards. we'll see. after living east coast for most of my life, i'm loving it out west! great for outdoorsy people. give me a holler if you want pics when you're out here
Nice. I just bought a set if wheels from a guy in Germantown. I'll def hit you up when I'm passing through SB. The whole purpose of the trip is a photo mission. Got a new glider with a new sponser and need to get some gold for them. Otherwise I make it out to SB every other month for work, usually just there for an afternoon though.
Pics came out amazing. Gosh, I really like how those wheels look on the coupe.

Fantastic pictures. I have to wonder about CaliAgent's comment about the coastline of Northern California, however. I consider Monterey, Carmel and Big Sur to be on the central coast, and not part of Northern California.
