That's some tremendously useful stuff there, thanks for updating your thread! I love the way that car sounds!

Timely too - mine needs some serious exhaust work before it hits the road this spring. I might attempt to retain the US catalyst instead of the lighter Magnaflow unit, but otherwise your system components are now at the top of my list.

Yes the headers are legal. I talked to the owner of the smog shop who told me that for this car, there is a visual test that only looks for two things. Does it have a CAT? and does it have an O2 sensor? Other than that it's all about the tailpipe. It's not like any of them could tell the difference between a stock header and the busted up Federalized manifold that was on it when I bought it.

Great trip. We returned later Thursday. About over the jet lag.

Went car shopping with my brother in law which was fun and very different. Went to several VW. Dealers in and around Berlin. You can look at used cars all day long and not have a salesman even approach you. Trade your ID for a key Alan look it over inside and out on your own. BUT, want to test drive one? Make an appointment and come in several days later. Strange.
