I'm on a set of silverlines from ECS now and have enjoyed the ride. I would just like to warn people that the top collar on the adjuster thread often comes loose so before you install these coils make sure you tighten it down with lock tight.

Its a common issue with alot of fks from what I've read and when I spoke to someone at ECS they told me that they are often loose when they get them from FK.

Just throwing that out there since I know very few people are on fks besides me and quack.

    Great pricing though!

Ok, so I am going to get flamed for this one but..These look comparable quality to DDM tuning.

Why would you make non adjustable coilovers, that defeats the purpose of a coil over IMHO.

Also ECS do you have a shock dyno graph for these units? What are the spring rates they are paired with?

so are h&r coilovers useless because their damping isnt adjustable? how about eibach? not a good argument....

Your not making sense and one of the FK sets has adjustable dampening. The little bit more expensive set.

These aren't even comparable to anything DDM puts out and probably shouldn't even be mentioned in the same sentence when talking about quality or build. They use koni shocks and have a very, very nice assembly.

Yes one has them, but another doesn't never heard of non adjustable coil overs..what ever

Lets see dyno graphs and spring rates then we can discuss quality.

I fail to see how they are not adjustable. One set has adjustable ride height and dampness whereas the other just has adjustable ride height?

I'm done with this conversation. No point in ruining a useful FS thread.

There pricing on the non adjustable kit for the 528i is great! I sent them a PM thru Bimmerfest to see if it will work for my Wagon. I will only have to put aside the rear I guess.

They are non "dampening" adjustable, height adjust ability still remains.

Unfortunately, FK does not provide dyno graphs for their shocks, nor spring rates. However I can confirm that from the FK coils on my car they are an ideal coilover for a daily driven occasional track use setup.

They have offer predetermined dampening coils to those who are looking to only adjust the height of their cars. These are typically the same people who will rarely ever put their vehicle in a situation where the dampening will need to be changed. By doing this it then allows them to pass the savings on to the consumer, ie. an affordable coilover setup.
