yea the burgundrot has clear on it. schwartz, zinno, alpine, etc are single stage. Thats why they can be brought back pretty easy with a good detailer...my car is screwed.
Its funny, the hood looks different through the 4 years ive owned it. Most of the clear is almost gone now on the hood.

Thanks for the "before" shot of your driver's seat. Mine looke a bit worse than that, but it gives me hope. I have a bit of the Rejuvenator around (swore by it on my "regular" leather - really softened it up). Looks like I'll have to buy a bunch more. How many oz did you use?

Yeah the paint all around on my car isnt that great, its really hard to tell that it is metallic...unfortunately.
But some day, it'll be all shined up!

Here's my 1986 635csi. Found and bought while on my honeymoon May 2009. Still a work in progress. I thought the club really added that 80s feel to it so I put it in for the picture. It's currently in storage for the winter.
+2 you Olde Fekker! Get your camera out and take an hour or two to be creative and POST THE F'n PICS!!! Goddamn it!
did you have a touch up job done? I ask cuz I'm about to do the same to my rear quarters... the fender looks yellow compared to the door and rears.. you have the same year/paint as mine.. just curious... dont mean to criticize..
Wish you lived closer to me Jeff... we could fix that crease on the rear right panel and reshoot the entire car to cure the clear coat blues.. I had them on my E36... but now I'm seeing it happen to my 6ser cuz it's got a Re-Do paint job on it that has clear coat on it that pulls off with painter's 3M tape! That BLUE tape that's suppose to stick, but not pull...
Hey.. I'm an amateur painter.. but thru the years I've learned alot about body work and paint.. the KEY is LOTS of light to see WTF you are doing..
I'll post some pics here in a bit...

Yes, it has been repainted. I needed to replace the fender. At the time I couldn't find anyone to re-spray it reasonably. I did it myself. At 1st it matched much closer, but over the years it has changed. The rust free fender came from a light green 6 and I sanded, primered, & painted it using rattle cans. The paint has held up well, but the shade of white has changed. I now know that I can have have paint mixed up & spray it with those aerosol bottles. Just haven't gotten around to it, though it needs it. Car Quest here in town supplies a lot of the local body shops with paint. You can get as little as 1/2 a pint. We did the front spoiler on DJ's euro & it came out very nice.
Here's some of my 1985 M635CSi - hope you like 'em!
First pics I saw of it on the net - luckily the trophy wasn't bolted on!
First views in the flesh. A relief after the 425 mile journey!
Collecting the car from Scotland. A tight fit on the transporter.
First pics at home.
Note the well-fed buffalo hide!
First car show. Now with Kinnby clear front lenses.
