I have a 1989 735i. The A/C does not seem to be a cold as I once thought. But as Will Rogers once said: Things ain't what they used to be and probably never was.
Anyway I replaced the expansion valve and the dryer. Checked for leaks - minor one found around the condenser - added stop leak. While the condenser was available I started the car and put on the A/C. The temperature of the condenser was around 37 degrees, but the temperature of the air from the vents was around 60 degrees. The outside air temperature was mid 80's. Is this the expected vent temperature? If not, does anyone have a suggestion as to the possible illness.
Thanks in advance,
Bill
