    We put in 8k: 4k, engine & Transmission; 1.5k, tools; 2k overhaul parts & services (new suspension, brakes, rack, A/C & PS hoses, etc) and odds and ends. We probably used .5k of the total for things that were dead ends or later decided against (like Corvette manifolds). We published a fairly detailed list in our

    Lost the tail end there, but $8k total, that's not so bad really. Considering you can pick up a nice E30 with a blown motor for a grand or two, if you have the time and skill, that's a hell of a result.

    Any comments as to the balance after you're done? What's your curb weight now?

    Now if only we could figure out how to do that to an iX.

    Funny how people say you need more power. The ls1 with those torque numbers in an e30 chassis shouldn't get traction till what 3rd or 4th gear in the dry? haha

    Just imagine how crazy it would be with cam's, head's, intake manifold, tune etc.... Do you have any more vid's of it running? Very cool car. Wish the exterior was a little easier on the eyes but still a VERYYYYY cool car. Great work guys!

    Yes, all is ok; learned how to weld-in a new radiator support & the car re-painted.
