^ Did you buy them from a guy in/near San Jose? I called that guy but a bunch of people got to him first.

3 piece wheels just take ALOT longer to do. cleaning silicone off takes forever reassebly with sealing the wheels. its just more to do more to worry about.

About the silicone, you have to re-seal the centers to the barrels? what the process?

    Mini Update

I just bought 4 authentic 70mm BBS center caps. They should be here by the end of the week.

Thanks. I can't wait to get them mounted up but I'm waiting on some backordered tires which are taking forever. The bolts are just the stock ones btw.

IMO 3 piece is easier to do then style5's i hated those wheels when it came to refinishing

3 piece is just sealing and cleaning. Where your center mounts on the style 5 its split in 2 pieces on a 3 piece wheel .

Red scotchbrite is all you need. Use some commet to help clean them.

You need to buy some clean wheels. They make cleaning the silicone as simple as rolling the piece on the floor while holding a drill. I can clean all the silicone off a 3 piece wheel in about 2 minutes.

1 quick question for ya and everyone, I don't know if it's just me but, does anyone else clean the inside of the barrel?

I'm working on some 18" Style 5's for myself and 18" M-Parallels for my dad's new set I bought him, and I noticed how dirty the inner barrel gets due to owner negligence from old brake dust depositing there.

I was thinking of at least scuffing them down with a scuff pad and just blackening them out with flat black primer. Is that a good idea?
