    Runs on gas and methanol. Bad ass race car

    The owner is a very nice guy. I parked my 87 M6 next to him during one of our local BMW CCA events in CT. The car is very well engineered and I bet it goes like a scalded cat.

    The 560s transmission used in the 850 is NLA thru BMW, and there are no parts from Getrag, who made it. It gets even better...there is no other car using this transmission!!! Then there is the issue with synchros that are bad in 2nd gear found in most cars. Finding a good used one will cost you around $4500, and if you can find a new one stashed away somewhere, figure $6K to $8K. Then there is a matter of shipping!!! I believe Moose Head Parts has made some sort of adapter to make a 6 speed from a V8 work.
