Trouble installing new ZHP shift knob

I tried searching, and i believe the search function on this website sucks.

    1999 e36 m3.
Im trying to install the new ZHP shift knob I bought from a supporting vendor. It doesnt fit tight and is very loose. I can turn it around and move it up and down with ease. What do you guys do to keep it in place?
    and thanks!

Mine fits fine... just like the oem shift knob. Did you push it down far enough until it snaps on? Also, it has a notch that only lets it snap on at the right rotation.

Do you have a stock shift lever?

Are you enjoying yours as much as I do mine?

I find it very comfortable and sexy to boot.

I just got mine 2 weeks ago also. I love it. My OEM one wasn't staying in place and was flying off. I wanted to replace it with an OEM one because it has the lighted numbers, but with recommendations decided to go with the ZHP. I'm so glad I did too.

Be careful if you ever have to remove it. You may end up with a black eye.
