I tried searching, but I'm also tired so maybe I missed it. But does anyone know what the size difference between the E36 and E92 M3 badge are. I think the E92 is just curved, where the E36 is flat, but is it significantly smaller? Maybe I'll go to a dealer tomorrow and measure it, haha.

E90 series is much smaller, and more curved.

stick with the e36 one... if you want a curved version get the e46 m3 one.
the e36 one is huge compared to the e46 and 92 ones

I got a better idea, go debadged like me
Just know that most of the aftermarket badges use cheap paint, the red turns to pink in 6 months and the blues fade as well. Since my original badge only had the faded Red, I masked it and painted it Hellrot. That was 3 years ago and it still looks perfect....

i painted my stock m3 badge black. looks like shit because I had to tape up the stripes lol
My Car came with a Spray Can of Touch up paint, it's been quite useful over the years. (got the car in '05) No idea what brand is actually in it, but it's got to be quality automotive paint. My car sits in Sun all day here at work next to an airport, badge looks great still.
I just got it back last night (got rear ended 3 weeks ago) so I'll soon do a thread on the body/paint work. You'll be able to see it then. (I went to shop every couple days to snap pics of the progress)
