    Caliper Bleed Screw sheared

Sheared off speedbleeder bleed screw while trying to install on '95 M3 right front. Like two threads showing. Any suggestions other than reman replacement caliper?
(Wouldn't recommend these as I barely got it in before it sheared. It was nowhere near tight.)

i wouldnt recommend these either, i also broke mine installing it. the grade of the metal is not as strong as the oem one.

have u tried sticking a small flathead screwdriver and turning it loose?
or if theres no hole, use a ez out? yea come to think of it, i used a ez out screw extractor.

you can use an easy out... basically is a reverse threaded drill bit... as you turn it it grips deeper and deeper as it comes out...i did the exact same thing on my passenger side, you shouldnt need to remove the caliper either, just turn the wheel to full lock..

here is a picture of what im talking about

Tried the ez out, the cheap metal screw just melted away without backing out. Speedblleder says they will fix it for free but of course I got to ship it to them and be without brakes till??
    Don't buy these!!

They are going to do what we all ready explained........ They will use a Helicoil which I doubt because of the size, or they will tap it and install a larger speedbleeder. Both you can do on your own if you choose.

My concern at this point is that I have a hole with minimal to no screw material left but no fluid leaking out! Will tapping it remove the debris that remains and allow free flow of fluid/air? If you think so I will certainly give it a try.
    Thx

When you do this repair, remove the caliper, much easier to do on the bench. This type of repair is easiest on the first try while you still have the most material to work with.

Anybody know what size that screw hole is so I can attempt to reuse the stock bleeder screw. (What size tap do I need?)
