Hey look another crank no start problem

The car only will start when it wants too. I replaced the crank position sensor which didnt help.

    The ecu isn't fired.

    Plugs are new

    Fuel pump is working

    Any ideas?

Nope no spark at all. From what I understand the cps will only cause rough running but I may be wrong.

edit: of couse the car just fired right up and when I turned it off refuses to turn back on.

Is the motor turning over and its just not firing? or does it not do anything at all?

If you know you're getting fuel then it could only be a spark/electrical issue (assuming you are getting plenty of air). Sounds like it's happening before your coil packs to me. Did this happen right after you changed your spark plugs? Any CEL codes?

Sounds like a spark issue. However, not with the coil packs, unless by some miracle they all went bad at once. When they do go bad usually they don't just start randomly working either. Generally one or two go bad, but then you get a bad idle and it runs like crap. I would guess either a sensor is bad/going bad or you have a wiring issue somewhere before the coil packs.

check and make sure you are getting signal on that crank sensor cuz it will not let the car start if it doesnt know the position of crank
