Swaps been good. Come to see Edwin when he visits PA and you'll see it (although if Simeon's there with Baby, then you won't be looking at my car lol).

I didn't even hear about any meets in the area lately. I haven't been on much, and I've been keeping myself pretty busy.

like i said, the KOP meet was amazing. 9 cars hooked up in trenton, then screamed their way to KOP mall. the cruise from there to victory brewery was da bomb

Proud to say I opened her up to 100 for first time other day. It felt like doing 45. So I'll be out again soon to push it again.

I said hello to the ~128 mph limiter the day I picked it up ( last year 118k miles )
Smooth as glass with plenty of available power and revs left. My guess is 160 would not be a problem.

It really is a silly limit. And I know its supposedly due to "tires that were OE are rated for X" As if you will run the same tires for ever.
Also.. as if 128 is "safe" when 129+ is "unsafe" lol.

+1 if something is going south in a bad way, your effed regardless.

So the 740i's are limited at 128mph? That's odd. My 2003 540i/6 M-Sport went all the way up to 155mph before the limiter kicked in. Funnily enough, it didn't feel all that much different from 100mph. I can't even imagine what kind of ticket you'd get if caught doing 155mph haha

I think I read somewhere that the theoretical top speed is 179. Not sure if anyone has actually done that or not. They got that by doing a bunch of math. Power, weight, ratios, drag, etc..

I have done 140 in mine.

I've had mine to 130mph indicated. Not sure what the true speed was, but I didn't hit any limiter at that. Just let off.

I had my e32 up to 130 by accident. Swapped the bent rims for some nicer ones and pulled onto the highway. I was really confused why everyone was going SOO slow, then I looked down and saw the needle at 130. Oops.

I have no limiter since my Dinan Stage 5 software did away with that but I have never pushed it past 130mph. No reason too
All these exotic cars pushing the limits to 268 mph + is asinine.

245km/h here on speedo on 730i but it would go a bit more, limiter was inside my head but it took atleast 2km to get it.
This was my first run with 2 friends inside the car.

Not quite - 155 before playing with the limiter.

The 840 and both of my 740is dont stumble at all up to 140+.

So it must be only the ils that are limited to "127". That number was set by us standards years ago..dont ask me why. Ive not been to 155 yet, which is the other magic number, so i dont know what happens then.

In regards to the police chase...well you know how it is...i was young and dumb. (now im older but still dumb) anyways, once the high speed chase started....well...it was on from there lol. I out ran the 2 cars behind me and lost them, but i didnt realize the chopper was called in. Doh. I smoothly went (slowly) after i lost them into a residental area.

Couple turns...doh..cul-de-sac. I stopped. Lights off. Wait.

Couple minutes later, they came round the bend...full speed. Rear ended me...3 car pile-up. Lol and they wanted me to pay for it. Lawyer said no way...you ran into him..same rules as a fender bender.

Btw...a hood for a crown vic installed is north of 3k and antifreeze is $75 a gallon from what i remember of the 16k "repair bill". Watch them municipal service guys lol and no. I didnt pay for it. Although....they did try to sneak my state income tax refund away from me several years later. They failed after a swift legal letter.

I think the fastest I've gone in my 98 was 120. I immediately let off since my suspension wasn't up to par.
