How to install DIS w/ EasyDIS v44 step-by-step

after reading your instructions on how to install i gave it a go...
i was not ready for the 3 days of messing around and endless reading on the net, but patience is the key ! got there in the end i now have dis v44 v57 and sss v32 up and running with a £24 lead from ebay !
all i wanted to do was retrofit a obc stalk and make my turn signals blink when i lock and unlock, wow what a mission :/
but still saved me paying the hours labor at the local dealer which is about 25000 isk (about £150)
nice 1 and thanks to all who contributed to this page, i would also like to do so !

What do i need to do when i want to read the dme 1.7 with inpa after i have been reading obd2 stuff on different cars.Ediabas is set for obd interface.
My com port is a pcmcia to serial and it is set properly to com 1. I can read most modules in all cars.

I switch between these cars all the time
2001 e38
2005 e46
1995 e36 with m42 dme 1.7 on ads?
I got the software from you and bought the ads obd interface you suggest from ebay.

If you want to run your interface in ADS mode, you will need to change the "Interface =***" statement in your c:\EDIABAS\Bin\Ediabas.ini file to Interface = ADS and run the ADS hardware setup in c:\EDIABAS\Hardware.

....and reboot after you run the ADS setup.

After that when you change your ediabas.ini file...you dont have to run setups again..

Just edit the file.

I used my INPA cable for my E38,with no problems.
Few days ago my friend asked me erase faults in SRS system on E34...connect,read,erase... no hassle!
Today try connect to my car and no response...
Strangest thing is- Battery-ON Ignition-ON (as it was before) ,but after i turn ignition to ON or Start the engine both Batt. and Ign. are gone and never come back till i reconnect interface from USB and 20pin adapter.
All INPA is reinstalled all .ini files are checked... not my first time with INPA install but now i'm confussssseddddd!!!!!

disable windows firewall and any antivirus then make sure you have set the ip's for the 3 virtual network adapters in the dis ctrl+sys rq menu... cant remember the exact procedure but you will find it quite easily somewhere on here

i tried to get it to work with windows 7 x64 it was so close to working but got fed up in the end and put xp on a external hd maybe it will be easier on 7 x32 ?

Ok, I have to post to this so I can quit being a lurker. I believe this is my first post here, and I have to say I have never gotten so in over my head so fast in a car, and a new forum.
I want what seems to be so many others' motivation, and that's to set anti theft preferences and code my car to not throw a fault due to my HIDs.

I came across the BMW scanner 1.4.0 and bought one to be here in a couple of days.
However, I already started the process to begin downloading DIS V44, VMware etc. I was able to get everything ( including the Incredibar Malware) except the Base ISO. I'm going to continue with getting familiar with the system.

I have a line on a Prepackaged setup , but I need to know if DIS v 57 will work with a 2001 BMW 325i before I pull the trigger. I'm obviously very new and have been reading for a week when I could. My questions are resulting in more questions but I'll do what I can until I get stuck. Again.

Thanks in advance for any guidance.

DIS v57 works with your 2001 325 but the coding function is removed from v57 and they switched to progman.

You can fix the HID low beam failure with DIS??

I don't know how to answer that. In a week's time I've read a lot of threads that require me to go back and retread with current knowledge. I did read that the car can be coded to eliminate the fault. How that was done or with what I have no idea.

My scanner should be here in a couple days, hopefully. No tracking number and it didn't ship til yesterday.

I access to the scoadmin functions. correct the BDFLUSHER = 660 error and reset its value back to BDFLUSHR =30.
BUT SEEMS I COULD NOT SAVE BDFLUSHR =30 BECAUSE I SAW BDFLUSHER = 660 WHEN I access to the scoadmin functions again.

Can I relink kearl that menu below tune parameter ?

I tried to type y twice now BDFLUSHR =30 .

I don't know if it is the good post but i try.

I've got a problem to connect my car (525D E61 2006) to INPA and of course to DIS v57.
I've checked the configuration of my computer who works under Windows XP 32bits and all parameters of programs are configurate like in the installation procedure. INPA works and i've got the black spots but when i try to connect to the car there is no connection. The IP adress is ok, latency as well...
I've search during long long time on internet to resolve this problem and someone said me to connect the pin 8 to the 7 on the OBD plug. So the pins are already connected. The only thing i know is that the cable have a default.

I'm going crazy with this cable.


There is somebody who can help me please?

Thank you .By selecting the language in the set up menu ,all are ok but after you power off Vmware and restart Vmware workstation DIS will diaplay unreadable codes.

in fact my problem is after that i start INPA connected to the car ,i've got the black spots,in the left corner of the screen i've got the green window saying RUNNING, i choose the car model and engine type and then there is a window appear with the follow message: D_motor, D_0012 IFH-0009 no response from control unit. And now there is BUSY on a yellow window at the corner.

Please somebody can help me?

Hi there,

About to start installing however I would like to make sure I have the right files as I am here in unknown country and I wish to follow the steps to the T in order to possibly save my time mucking around.

Software Required by Randomy:

Easy DIS v.44 BASE iso
Easy DIS v.44 Program iso
VMware v.6
Daemon Tools

What I have from the Min_Intsall.iso:

DIS_EasyBase_v44.rar
WMWare Workstation 7 and Serial.rar

What I have from other sources:

GT1_v44_programs.iso
VMWare Workstation 6.5.1

Without the correct iso files I don't really see this happening.. Have looked around the net to find them and no luck.

Any help welcome.
