    Noobie saying hello

Just got my first BMW--1994 325i convertible. God, what a dream car! Very well maintained by her previous owner. Girlfriend was annoyed that it doesn't have cupholders built in.

    "Of course. It's a BMW."

    "So?"

"So...it's meant for driving, not for picking up the twins from soccer practice."

    "Mmm...cars should have cupholders."

    ------

    There are some minor issues.

-There is a "shadow" on the speedometer at the 120 MPH mark (when the instruments are lit). Normal?

-I'm getting a buzz from one of the rear speakers. For some reason, it is much more pronounced when AM radio is playing. Shot speaker?

-The check engine light just went on. Should I wait until I take her in for an oil change to check it out or is this an emergency that needs immediate attention?

    Thanks!

Real cars don't have cupholders. My passanger (if I have one) is my cupholder.
