If this part number is right, it looks like you can still get the bracket

Think that pn is just one part, from a z3

yeah its missing the bottom holder of the tank... plus its also missing the plastic screw on holder for the front of the tank... it goes onto that screw sticking up ... without that you wont be able to mount it..
edit:
on a side note.. i happen to have both metal parts, brand new, that i bought off a member here. only thing its missing is the plastic screw down holder i mentioned... you really need this or the bottle is not going to mount. if anyone needs a pic of it, let me know..

I have a vague recollection that plastic part is available in another BMW application. Unfortunately I have no leads. Can anyone with knowledge of various models going back 30 years think of any tanks that clip into place in the front?
If not you could probable fabricate something. Like a short vertical pin the hole in the plastic front of the tank drops through. Then drill through the top of that pin sticking through and run a zip tie or wire or cotter pin through to secure tank.
The back of tank by ECU box should be easy to fabricate -- just a flat piece of metal bolted down at the back and bent up a little in front.
yep thats it... its a must to have to mount the tank
im going to take a guess and say this is NLA too... even though FCP euro says its in stock, they have listed other things as "in stock" before, only to recount that later...

E30 part. Pelican and FCP and dealers sell the plastic clip so it looks like it is still around.
I saw a Land Rover at the pick-n-pull that had nearly an identical overflow tank. I think it was a Discovery.
I just did a quick Google image search and came up with this.

Are you talking about this?

Yes. Great find!

Yes. Great find! We have now assembled the essential tank mounting parts. No need for the new ground -- you can use the existing ground. You can rivet or screw instead of welding.
awesome, going to order one or 2... then i have all 3 as a spare

The pipe does not fit the S52 very well. It is sort of workable but not great. Been running one for 10 years but if you have the skills to make your own you could do better.
Sorry to bump this, but it seems like a good amount of these parts are NLA.
You could get a pipe made or use a hose. If you used a hose it would be about 6 inches longer than the stock hose. You could also make or adapt a tank if E30 tanks are NLA.
I’m more concerned about the brackets , and making everything fit a 95 m3. Max Psi did this setup for me on the s54 car.

Sometimes NLA turns out to mean only NLA in North America (example: 96+ E36 brake booster; I bought one from France a few months ago). BMW dealer parts counters used to be able to special order Euro parts anytime, but BMW closed off that option a number of years ago.
