My mechanic thinks my 2000 m roadster needs an ABS control module. BMW no longer makes this and a search of inventory isnt showing up with anything.
Does anybody have any experience with sourcing parts that are no longer available any more for this car? I am a little concerned about my 24 year old car when reasonably important parts cant be found anymore...
What part number is in your car currently?
Some of these are repairable as well, depending what went wrong with it.

Ill find out from my guy this afternoon...
There are plenty of good used options available, and depending on the part, it was used on other chassis as well. They would have to be coded anyways, new or used.

In my experience with abs control module failure in my 2000 M I was told that particular unit was not rebuildable. I had good experience sourcing from https://specializedgerman.com/. I believe the one they sold me was from a 5 series of the same era. Price was reasonable, included shipping and a 1 year warranty. It has worked great for >5 years.
Depending on the part number I might have one. A local shop replaced the one in my roadster and discovered it wasn't the problem.
