    P1449, Auxiliary Emssion

    Hello All,

    I am getting P1449 "Manufacturer control auxiliary emission control" code once in a while in my 2004 325Ci with 89k miles.

    What does this mean and how does it cause a check engine? Excuse my ignorance.

    Everytime I get this check, I will have to reset it by OBDII code reader/rester
