After replacing my headlights with a sparkling, nearly new pair courtesy of Adam, the M30+E34iT guru, I find that my passenger side blinker works but the constant beam light does not...this was AFTER installing a new dual filament bulb. I have been trying to pinpoint the issue. All wires are OK, and switches have never shown signs of failure.
Electrical guys, could you put me on the right track?? I'm pretty at myself right now.

Who the hell is Doug?
Go ahead and bite. Plenty for everyone.
Yours truly, yo. I'm the foo that drives the E34 represented in the brown, low res sig below.
Srsly, please no OT here. I actually want to track down and fix the issue.

Lol no worries man, I knew it was you all along.
What do you mean by constant beam and blinker, the amber light next to the low beam?

+2
is that parklight + turn indicator?
you check the fuses?
The turn signal/parking light - the orange assembly that mounts on the headlight frame and is used when signaling a turn.
I thought that the filament in the bulb that provides the constant light (vs the one that blinks when the turn signal is activated) went out (it did), so I replaced the bulb. However, the new bulb only blinks to signal - when the headlights are switched but the signal not activated, it stays dark.
I'm not sure how this would be the work of a broken wire or connection, and needed guidance from that point on.
Just checked 'em. A-ok by my eye.

Check fuse #5, just to make sure.
Also, are you sure you have the correct bulb, and that it's seated correctly?

Visual inspection won't always work either. The fuses can look ok, and still be no good. I have ran into this several times. Might just pop in a new one to make sure....
Use a volt meter at the connector to confirm the contacts are clean and working
Also - take a peek at this... it may help you, it caused me HOURS of frustration!
