Anyone's a/c will not completely turn off?

When I turn the a/c knob to 0 the fan still blows slightly. Whenever it get too cold I'll either adjust the temp knob or I'll have to close the vent or point it the other direction. anyone else notice this or maybe its just me. I'ts not a huge issue but its one of those little quirks that bother you everytime you get in your car.

That's been discussed several times before that I remember. It's true of all the Z3s to my knowledge.

mine all do it and I've also been in other (non-BMW) cars that do it. I always kind of figured it wasn't so much the fan blowing when it's "off" as just air moving through. When it gets annoying I usually set the air-direction selector to the windshield setting.

you need to close the vents - thats what that vertical dial is on each vent.

Turn off the AC, and close the Vents with the recirculation button.

+1. Recirc on cures it without having to screw up the vents.

so when you guys hit your recirc button, no air comes through the vents? When i hit my recirc button, it makes the airflow coming in from the outside less, but it doesnt stop

Leaving recirc off allows air to passively blow through as you drive. Turning recirc on turns on the fan to the lowest level automatically to keep the air in the car from "feeling stale."
