should i replace the OSV on a (new to me) used engine?

i ordered the OSV replacement and gasket a few days before my engine seized up. i'm just wondering if you guys think it would be a good idea to go ahead and put the new OSV on the junkyard engine i'm possibly throwing in my car for safe measure or no should i leave the one it came with?

Put it on as is will be much easier to do while the engine is out.
