Thanks Cam!
Thought this was cool and would like to share...http://www.buckeyebmwcca.org/buckeye...ber%202009.pdf
right now the car is about 70% disassembled for paint and finish work. It will come back looking awesome. I'll have pics when there is something that is worth showing.

Not really, the e30 towers are greater in angle then the e36s so the hinges have less of an effect, and transfers most of the force directly.

When we were doing the alignment, we found out even though I had adjusters that basically they didn't allow enough movement to get rid of toe out. So, I had to modify the mounts to gain back some adjustment. I am basically hoping that I have put in the correct amount of toe, and that will be the end of it... we'll see. While talking with some e30 racers during the test and tune, some told me of an issue with the rear subframe basically tweaking and gaining toe out... so, I made a sort of truss to reduce the possibility of this happening to a minimum. Also, I did the M coupe update to the control arms... cause I could. I still have some disassembly and quite a bit of sanding to do prior to dropping off to the painter. Which will be at the first of the year (hopefully). So on to the pics...

Right on dude looks like shes coming along nicely!
Whats the bars under the arms welded to the subframe? Not familiar with that one. Those adjusters look like a lot more adjustment than some of the other ones ive seen on the market. You cant get it squared away with those or are those the new ones?
Cant wait to see in all one color and im sure you feel the same!

the bars under the arms are there to try to prevent unwanted subframe flexing causing toe out under load and power. Basically a truss to work in compression. The adjusters are a different version of what Ireland Engineering has available. The sent them to me over a year ago. The problem was that when installed, I could get more toe out... but not get toe in (or even 0 toe) I have them pre installed now with what I think will be some amount of toe in. My only concern is maintenance of the bolts or adjusting the arms. That will be a lot more difficult now.
Yes, I can't wait to get it all painted! The engine bay will be a hot rod black type thing. Don't wanna take away from the engine
Thanks Chris!

Eyyy? Whats going on? You slacking on the project? Wheres the update with fresh paint and trophies and vids of 30psi pulls and spinning tires in top gear and having 911's and GTR's pull over and wave you by and...
OMG have you seen all the fab and prep work that Kevin has done since our test at the end of October?? I might add that, during that test, I did have wheelspin in 4th gear and did humble a 996 turbo that was on Hoosiers...

old vid?
Yes, but worth a repost to address lughed's post.
I have an idea, but I'm not for sure. I think it has a big scrape on the right end of the rear bumper. I remember being at the event when that car touched a wall, but can't remember who it was. PM me if you have a name and I can probably confirm it for you if you're interested.

Sadly, car is completely stripped and waiting on the painter to get it in. I have sanded and prepped and everything... Currently sitting on the ugliest 15" wheels I have
I have made improvements in many areas... but nothing will show until I put it all back together. So for now... there isn't much to show or talk about unfortunately.
I can't wait to get it all put back together and start the new year of testing/tuning. But I must be patient.
