The M-Tech kit is the only one I really like.

I' m purist. The 635 does not need any side skirts. Less is more.

Okay, here is the $64.00 question. I am very interested in the side skirts and rear wing (and judging from this thread, a few others are also).
After speaking with Ary today, he says he can replicate anything if he has an original to make a mold from. Would you be willing to send them to him so that he can make a mold and have them available, if shipping were paid and they were insured? I'm not certain what turn around time would be, but I can verify with him. Doing this would allow several members to purchase these items as opposed to just one person.
Let me know what you think...
Any input from the group is appreciated,
Jack

Oh, I see we are talking skirts.
I like the ones that have a split on the upper thigh.
That way they show a lot more leg.
Here is the ONLY skirt that will ever ride in on on my BMW
I will always own a BMW.
Put me in the non skirt camp, unless short, plaid or pleated.
I'll let these skirts go cheap if anyone wants 'em.
Only thing is, I don't want the hassle of shipping them. Detroit area.

Where can we get stuff like BMP side skirts or M-Technic ktis. I can't find this stuff anywhere and I want it.
I have a line on a brand new set of M-Tech side skirts and wanted to know if you enthusiast think the M-Tech side skirts will match or look good with a Euro 6er front spoiler and or Alpina front spoiler?

Imo it would ruin the entire sleek look of your sixers. It makes the car look fat and thus shorter, skirts just don't compliment the nice long lines of sixer bodystyle.
I think your car's are pretty much perfect how they are now, If you ask me.
I was completely against the side skirts until I saw that black 6 ...wow that's sweet
I went and did a little research.

I looked over on PelicanParts and the side skirt numbers come up as available parts. There are a couple of brackets that you need to make sure and purchase, but it looks like a complete m-technic skirt kit would run you about $800 for both sides with all ancillary parts.

Wisdom at its best. As always, thanks Todd. All M-Tech, or nothing at all. Sounds like a plan, however, I do like the M-Tech front air dam on a euro 6er all by itself
Decisions, decisions...

I installed Zenders on my 80 Euro back in 1982 and I have always liked the look. I installed Zenders om my 87 M6 right after I bought it in 2006 because I could not find M-Tek skirts. Skirts are a style that seems to come and go, but I like the look. If I ever locate a set of M-Teks I might swap them for the Zenders on the M6.

I think on some cars it looks ok. My preference nowadays is to remove vs add but that is just me. Todays cars use copious amounts of plastic and body cladding and I prefer the less is more of some of the 70-80's euro cars.
With that said i sure did lust after the zender gti and scirocco when I was a kid

My opinion .....
Front Air Dam ... 635 or M635 = OK
Side Skirts = No
Rear Apron = No
Rear Spoiler (M6) = OK
Just like the factory made it.
Want to change 20% of the visual appeal = Try different wheel styles.
I want a rear spoiler. Preferably the smaller black rubber kind. It just looks like something is missing from the rear of my car...

I am torn. I saw a nice B9 that looked good. On the other hand, I don't see my car looking amazing with skirts. Maybe Zender style? Nah!
I like airdams, my '85 valance isn't vented...maybe I will succum to the fiberwerks airdam for $300 (my '88 project needs one).
Well, I guess lets take a look at some examples...M-Tech fronts and sides.
...every time I get a look at the Gambini M635csi I still go ...Classic one of a kind Fikse Wheels. Shhhhweeet!

IMO the 6 should have the front dam and rear factory spoiler but no skirts, they look too heavy.
I think the Zender skirts look great, especially on the series 1 e24's:

Yet another old thread bump by me because I am still contemplating the install of the super conditioned and new M-Tech goodies that I have acquired over the last couple years.
Looking for more opinions. I want to put the M-tech front spoiler on my Schwartz 635csi, (I really love the look) However, I still have a brand new set of M-Tech side skirts to install with it, but not sure if I want to go that route with the Alpina wheels and all. Too much stuff to me.
OR I'm thinking of installing both the M-Tech front airdam and side skirts on Polaris 635csi which will fit much better with the sporty BBS RNs that I currently have on. Then I'll have one super sporty Euro 6er and one super stock Euro 6er.
OR I'll install the M-Tech front air-dam on one of the 6ers and sell the M-Tech side skirts for some good money for another set of wheels that I have been dreaming about

See my Gallery for a Black M6 with Zender Skirts. I would have prefered M Tech skirts, but the Zenders were available and I had a set on my 80 Euro with Alpina suspension. Let me know if you want to sell the M Tech side skirts.
