I'm on the fence myself, I find it really depends a couple of factors, like ride height and wheels.

I have RDs on mine (came with the car) and I really like the look with the Fitipaldis that came with it (more sporty), but like I the look less with my style 5s.

I've been tempted to remove them but I'm scared of what I might find underneath. In the next year or so I'll probably respray and at that point will make a decision about the skirts.

Roku, if you decide to sell the side skirts, let me know. I'd quite possibly fly up to get them haha.

We'll see where my mind/heart take me on this decision. I am leaning toward installing the M-Tech front spoiler and side skirts on my Sporty Polaris 635csi. I also have another decision to make if I go along with the M-tech installs.

What should I install on Braunie. The Alpina Front Air-dam OR my spare euro spoiler. Decisions, decisions...Again leaning towards the Alpina front air-dam with my Alpina open lug wheels. I got some nice projects to keep me busy, just no time and limited funds to get them completed.

Came across some zender sides and was not able to find installation material via search.

My e24 already has nicely cut painted holes on the sides already, but there appears to be no mounting clips/brackets/screws

It appears one of the sides itself has a regular Philips bolt stuck in it already because it's stripped but as I said, no apparent mounting equipment. I'm thinking it's some bracket that can take a philips but doesn't seem that I could install a bracket for use.

    Thanks let me know

I have had Zenders on both my 80 Euro I brought back from Germany and on my 87 M6. Generally I like the look of the Zenders more than the M Tek. I would use which ever I could get though. Zenders mount with long screws directly into the rocker panel. I used stainless steel body screws and sealed with silicone. Also run a bead along the inside of the top edges to keep water from accumulating against the rocker panel.

Hey, George. Your gallery is not coming up. Could you post some additional, side shots of your 87 M6. I sure like how yours sits and the larger edges do go well with the flared fenders, stout bumpers and mouldings. Zenders would also be WAY easier to find than M-tek.

IMO, you have to have the factory trunk spoiler.

As for skirts and aftermarket airdams etc, I like them fine on other peoples' cars.

Doggone it! I will tell you what, George. Those Zender skirts really do look correct for the 1987 body. They flow perfectly with the side moldings and fender flares. The factory airdam totally matches the lines and shape too.

I just might have to hunt me down a set and install when I have the car re-spayed.

I kinda like the look with side skirts, I think it would look like something is missing without them. anyhow here is mine as it stands.

Did a quick search and the Zenders are really hard to find now too. Guess I'll just have to keep an eye out.

Here is the 80 Euro I brought back from Germany. It is the car that sold me on Zenders. My son now owns the car.

I think the Zender look awesome. I still can't get over the fact that in 1980's, these cars were driving around on the roads with the other UGLY cars. Hands down way ahead of its time. I don't think you could do much to the original design to make it any better. Thats why I love these E24 sooooo much.

Hopefully one day, I'll have the courage to install my brand new MTech side skirts. Just not enough time in the day to do everything. Life prevails.

I recall seeing a black metallic Alpina at Octoberfest in Keystone, Colorado in 1989. It had the MTech side skirts and the MTech rear apron but an Alpina front spoiler. I thought it was a great looking sixer but it seemed the Mtech rear apron added a "bulky" look to the car when viewed from the rear. By comparison, a Zender rear apron is less bulky looking and the lines flow with the car more...IMHO

Looking for more opinions. I want to put the M-tech front spoiler on my Schwartz 635csi, (I really love the look) However, I still have a brand new set of M-Tech side skirts to install with it, but not sure if I want to go that route with the Alpina wheels and all. Too much stuff to me.

OR I'm thinking of installing both the M-Tech front airdam and side skirts on Polaris 635csi which will fit much better with the sporty BBS RNs that I currently have on. Then I'll have one super sporty Euro 6er and one super stock Euro 6er.

OR I'll install the M-Tech front air-dam on one of the 6ers and sell the M-Tech side skirts for some good money for another set of wheels that I have been dreaming about

    Hello Roku35,

Do you still have the side skirts? I would be interested. greeting

My 84 635CSI Euro has M Technic air dam , sideskirt , rear apron and rear spoiler . They aged well and it looks great.

I was always fond of sides skirts n had them on few e24s I have had including this last one with RD sides n rear apron. had to do some work to make them work especially rear piece.
not really fond of them on lighter color cars.

To each his own. Opinions are like, well, you know how that goes.

I prefer skirtless, but do what you prefer.
