I go to the same shop (R&N Bavarian motors on Elston). No they are not expensive. $90 an hour I think but they are really, really fair with their hours. They'll do free diagnostics etc.

This shop is really, really good and they are great guys too. I highly recommend it. I posted a brief review earlier in this thread.

I would like to give a recommendation for "Mike and Henry's Auto Service" in Western Springs. They service european vehicles. I had them change out all my fluids and they did a entire brake job [pads,rotors,sensors] for a reasonable price. They are nice folks w/ good attitudes and customer service. It's not anywhere near ohare but for other folks looking for an indy, this is a good one.

One more positive experience with R & N Bavarian on Elston. Benny is very informative and price was excellent. Had new right front brake caliper replaced; a couple of other shops could not diagnose issue (high speed steering wheel shimmy, but only after 15-20 minutes of driving). no problems so far.

i just need to run some diagnostics, there is nothing wrong withe the car, sometimes it has ticking noise from engine, and lately smokes like crazy hehe...

are u guys getting togeather to work on cars or having like meetings?

Go to R & N they'll run a diagnostic for free.

Yup, good guys, was there a couple months ago. Plus $25 oil changes too.

Good luck reaching Ben. He has worked on my car several times, does great work and his prices are more than fair. However, of late, I cannot reach him. There will be stretches of weeks or perhaps even months that he doesn't answer his phone (not my calls at least). When you need your car fixed, that's not going to work. It's tough too because it's so hard to find a mechanic you trust. Oh well. nothing in life is perfect.
