Hi. Great-looking car and setup. Can you describe the details on the wheel size, suspension mods, tire make and size, etc? I'm interested in the Hyper Blacks in 9 wide x 17s for my '97 M3/4-dr. I don't want to run spacers and longer bolts up front. I have a stock suspension. Am considering camber plates for the front. Thanks!
You will need spacers up front on stock suspension, no doubt about it. I had less than 5mm of clearance on stock '97 M3 suspension running 235/40 Falken RT615s mounted on 17x8.5 et41 Kosei K1s. There's nothing wrong with running spacers, that's the only way you'll be able to run proper offset 9s all around on an E36.
These wheels have actually been fitting with 1-2mm of clearance with 245 tires for people on the e36, and no spacers at all on the e46 (with exception to n2bimmer because his specific coilover setup). But you are correct 1-2mm is not enough and so a 3-5mm spacer would be recommended. a 10mm spacer would be recommended with a meaty 255 tire. Which is the normal in the e36 world.

just a few...my photography is sub par.
my setup is AST 4100's (550f 650r) vorshlag camber plates, 10mm vorshlag spacers in front. i believe the ride height is 12.0f and 11.75r. i could probably go another 0.25inch lower in the front but we'll see. (actually i cant remember if its 12.5 or 12.0f, i'll measure again this weekend)

Thanks for the clarification, I should've said you won't be able to comfortably run them without some sort of spacer
If I get another E36 I am no doubt getting a set of these. I liked what I saw when lawlence first made that feeler GB thread like 7 month ago, but I sold my E36 before they actually became available

Hi. Great-looking E36 M3! Very aggressive. My car's tame. I'd like to run the 9 wides with 245/40-17 with no spacers or longer bolts. I have stock Style 39M (aka "M Double Spoke II) rear 8.5 wides all around now with 235/40-17 Advan AD07s. I'm perfectly happy with this modified OE setup. What's attracting me to Eddy's wheels are their 17-lb weight and sexy BBS-like wheel design--especially in Hyper Black.
Those are 255's so they necistate a 10mm spacer. with a 245 you could get away with a 3 or 5mm spacer since you mentioned you want to run the RE-11, which should be pretty meaty too.

Sounds like I'll need 5-mm spacers at the least. That doesn't leave much of the hub lip exposed to center the wheel on the hub; which is why many E36 (M3) owners choose hubcentric 10-mm spacers--they're the thinnest you can go and and still be hubcentric between the wheel and hub.
I just installed my fronts last night. 17x9's with a 245/40/17 Yoko S.Drive which seems to run a little wide.
Without spacers I had 1mm of clearance to the adjustment collar on the drivers side, barely rubbed on the passengers(passengers is shimmed for camber). That's with TC Kline SA coils, I doubt the stock setup would clear without a spacer. I decided to run a 10mm spacer for hubcentricity and the fitment is perfect. I get slight rubbing under full lock to the left, but that should go away when I get camber plates and up the camber slightly. Currently at -1.9 up front, -2.0 or -2.1 would make it perfect.
Rears needed a roll to clear, was getting really bad rubbing before, but as I said the tires seem to run wide and my car had an abnormal amount of material in the well.
Will post pics once I can get a decent photographer to help me out and I can wash the car.
HMS Motorsport sells the H&R spacers. The 5-mm are supposedly hubcentric, but I'd need Turner hub extenders, plus longer bolts. http://www.hmsmotorsport.com/store/s...rdware/spacers
It's cheaper to go with the 10-mm spacer kit http://www.turnermotorsport.com/html..._ID=TWH9905010
What a pain. I remember why I stick with the OE 8.5-wides all around with 235/40-17s.
I guess so
I took off my BMW center caps and like how it looks without caps.. no pictures of this yet though.
