    e36 control arm upgrade

    hey
my outer control arm ball joints are shot and the inner ball joints are on their way out too so i was looking at gettin a 96+ m3 control arm with the offset bush...
im pretty sure the sway bar link joins on the strut for a 96+ m3 is that true? if so its a similar set up to mine so fitment should be ok
    worth doing?
    thanks

    control arms

96+ control arms use the centered bushing. 95 arms use the offset bushing. I would not cross the two. A lot of the M3s difference in front end geometry is in the kingpin. Yes the swaybar links to the strut on M3s.

ah i see. so do you think the offset bushing gives a better handling set up? or did bmw get rid of the offset bushing for a reason
what set up do u think would give best results?
also do both m3 set ups use sway bar links that connect to the strut?

95 M3 arms and offset bushings probably better for handling. Both early and later swaybars mount to strut.

sweet. would i have to change anything to do with the strut top or the added offset bush should be fine as is?

sweet. so would i have to do anything to the strut tops or get new struts to compensate for the change in castor? or could i get away with just the bush and arm...

Bush and arm is fine. You do not need anything else. You can use different upper bearings but then you need to make sure the springs you have will fit the upper perch and that the stack height will fit on the strut and still allow the nut to go on.
