My 325i has a idle problem when warmed up it goes to 1100 rpm ... so im tryin to figure out what i did wrong maybe the throttle cable should go on the left side i dont remember if the cruise control goes there or the primary throttle xable

My throttle cable is on the right side. There is an adjuster on it and you can see if you have it pulled too taught?

Ok its in the right place then, its actually just a tad loose so the high idle when warmed up is something else... unplugged and plugged O2 sensor makes no difference so Im thinking that could be the problem now.

Unplug your MAF see if that changes things...you might have a vacuum leak

Check to make sure your ICV (idle control valve) is still connected to the intake elbow. Those buggers love to disconnect when doing any type of work around there.

also where the ICV connects to the manifold itself with that grey grommet....it isn't very secure in my opinion (and was recently my issue after reassembling! Found with smoke test!)

Spent some time on my rocker rust repairs. Luckily it won't be seen. At least I can jack up the right rear corner now.

Well not yesterday but earlier this week: oil&filter, clean interior, put the non “on go-jacks” rims&tires on, went for a short drive. 2 days later, back in the garage because snow is back.
someday there will be warmth & sunshine.

Side skirt back on, only broke one new clip and drilled new holes for the push pins on the underside. On the ground tomorrow and hopefully it will be warm enough to wash.

Nice Work JMO69, rust is a PITA.

Ran a comp test on S52 Ti since she burns oils like it's her job. I know it leaks valve stem seals. Think this is any short term concern here or just run it as it is? I did notice most spark plugs nice and wet with oil. Figures.

It is MUCH easier to put the clips ONTO the sideskirt, and then install....won't break clips :-)

I had the exact opposite experience.

Really??? You can insert the clips onto the sideskirt and all you have left are the nipples. Now, you put the side skirt up to the car and align the nipples with the holes. I think the side skirts even have notches or indicators for where the clips need to be. So all you have is a plug into a hole.

Putting the point into the hole is 100 times easier than trying to line up the side skirt's thin plastic line to the plastic piece's groove. This is exactly how you break those clips

Yep, the green grommets shattered repeatedly for me. Was maddening. Looked into it, turns out others have had the same issue. In the end I had to mount the clips to the cars rockers, then pop on the skirts.

Today Im cleaning up my right side RTAB on my 2025 oldtimer project. And im thinking about which rear springs to upgrade to. Now I have some TA technics lowering sets. And a new set of cheap silver color (dont know the brand) rear shock absorbers. IF i keep these springs should i add a rubber upper pad?

I like to use a spring pad. Less vibes in the cabin.

I hear you, I'm just south of you in Midland and this winter is dragging on. I need it to warm up so I can start patching and restoring the holes in my car. I've driven mine twice this year but there's still so much salt out there.

The new grommets I bought were extremely hard to push the clips into, I found that I was holding the skirt too high when the clip broke. I lowered it a little and the skirt locked onto the clips with hardly any effort at all.
