Made the switch to Hagery collector's insurance. Other than that, didn't do much else other than stare at it in the garage
Put on my Broadway Static Coilovers 16k front 18k rear, amazed at how much better the car rides and drives versus the racelands that came on it
Sipson rollbar install and e90 wheel fitment.

Got my broken muffler mount studs welded. No more sounded like a ricer with no muffler on
Also made some brackets and tested my oil cooler

This car is AWESOME !!!
replaced my 02 sensors with the old ones I had in my garage... SC S52 was running way lean on one bank and rich on the other, equated to rich AFR's and a poor idle and wind up. Next is vanos solenoid tonight, getting code P1525 on my scanner " A camshaft position actuator control open circuit" and code 21 in my bmwlogger program which is a vanos electrical fault/ open circuit. SC m3 pulls pretty hard but hesitates at around 3500-4000 rpms. Hoping its just a solenoid. 38k on the S52.
Anyone had this code?
Sat in traffic.

Coolant change, drained the radiator and blew air into the expansion tank and only got less tha a gallon out. Crawled under and tried to find the block drain but didn't see it. Is it behind the motor mount or some other component? Filled it through the upper hose as usual but with the key and heater on. Ran it up to temp, revved it to get the air out, had to top it off 3 times before I was done. Right now its just above the kalt line, a short drive tomorrow should push the rest of the air into the expansion tank. I should be food on coolant, two jugs in the garage, a full one in the e36 and a partial in the e46.

213 isn't bad. Mine with a stock rated t-stat hovers between 203-208 sometimes 210. That's with an electric fan triggered off the radiator switch.
Finished up my oil cooler install, tried to make it as OEM as possible. Overall happy with how it turned out. Immediately noticed a difference in coolant temps. I used to hang in the higher 180’s/low 190’s, now the car cruises in the low 180’s. Next step is oil temp/pressure sensor in the oil filter cap!

Pressed out my bad rear ball joint
IMG_20180613_231949.jpg
Luckily I had sockets that worked and didnt have to go buy anything
IMG_20180613_231420.jpg
press wasnt long enough for my sockets so i hammered it in with the trusty mini sledge
IMG_20180614_185154.jpg
And its in. Some collateral damage from having to grind that damn rusted bolt out...i threw some paint on it

can only attach so many pics pt2
Installed Bimmerworld spherical RTABs. Getting the stock bushings out was a complete pain without the tool. Had to drill then cut with a skil saw then beat it with a hammer and chisel. finally. 2nd one was worse.

The ball joint press i borrowed from Oreillys was due back soo I returned it and I figured I could just hammer in the Bimmerworld RTABs especially after I saw a thread where some guys were complaining they were loose.....they must have re-designed them or they were E46 guys cause nope. An hour later I was back borrowing the same balljoint press

Found a little bit of play in the other side ball joint whats odd is after the new rtabs were in it no longer moves. Next up Condor solid UMHW motor mounts, trans mounts and treehouse style eyeball FCABs.
Ruined my car today. Well temporarily. Installed Condor Speed Shop UMHW solid motor and trans mounts and......they are gnarly in a not good way. I think the trans mounts are the culprits gonna try something softer there first. Above 3500 rpm the car feels like its gonna vibrate apart. I wouldnt even want that in a race car every nut and bolt would come loose by the third lap I dont get it. Lesson learned.
Yah they put their sticker upside down
trans
Also finally installed the X Brace I picked up. That I like.
Attempted to install my Condor treehouse style FCABs and they wont fit.......No matter what I did couldnt get it to line up either their parts are wrong or my Oreillys arms are bent differently... Stock with rubber fits fine theres enough give to line up. Gonna call COndor tomorrow and see what they think and prob order the softer poly trans mounts too
Car had 2 different motor mounts.. This AKG one the top nut I thought was loose at first turns out the bolt was sheared mount was doing almost nothing. Supposed to be a stud there and that fits in underneath through the hole.
